NEW LOCATION, NEW NAME!

After 36 years the BikeMS Citrus Tour / MS150 has a new location and new name.
Effective 2024 the Citrus Tour will now be called the Suncoast Challenge and will be located in Sarasota and Manatee Counties along Florida's West Coast.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We are in need of amateur radio volunteers, if you are an amateur radio operator come on out and help us with the event.
This is the closest you can get to emergency communications training, without the emergency.

Join us on April 20th, 2024 as we support the Mid-Florida chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, in their largest fundraising event of the year in West Central Florida.

Our start/end points for 2024 will be Lakewood Ranch Main Street in Sarasota County. Route details will be published once they are finalized, typically 30 days before the start of the event.

This website is geared to amateur radio volunteers and planning committee members. If you are not yet a licensed amateur, but would like to become one, let us know by using our contact us page. We'll give you all the details.

Volunteers assist in a number of roles, including:

  • Rest Stop Operators
  • Supply Truck operator
  • Rover (patrol course, in vehicle too small to transport a bike)
  • SAG (patrol course, able to transport bike/rider off course)
  • Shadow (travel with MS Society officials, to provide an on-air link)
  • Ride Marshal (on-air bike, patrolling course as a cyclist. This position has additional requirements, so please contact us for info. All skill levels welcome.)
  • Law Enforcement liaison
  • Logistics Support
